Solutions to The Messy Rope of The Electric Winch

The Electric Winch and the multi-function hoist are the same hoisting equipment, and the steel wire rope is driven by the rotation of the drum to carry out the movement, lifting, loading and unloading of heavy objects.

The rope capacity of the two products can reach 100 meters and more. The difference is that the heavy duty electric winch can lift 10 tons of heavy objects, while the small electric winch can only hoist 2 tons.

When the electric winch is hoisting, it is easy to have the problem of messy rope, which not only damages the wire rope, but also prone to lifting safety accidents.

Solution 1:

  • As we all know, the diameter of the wire rope of the electric winch is a basis for designing the pitch of the drum and the distance between the webs. It is recommended that the diameter of the wire rope should be controlled within 2%-4%.
  • At the same time, in order to prevent rope climbing, it is recommended that the two ends of the rope arranging device should be rounded and not chamfered to prevent rope climbing.

Solution 2:

  • Install a set of rope pressing device for the electric winch. The rope pressing device mainly includes a rope stopper, a connecting frame, a connecting rod, a pressure spring, a rope pressing sleeve and a cam.
  • That is, when the in-line winch works, the hoisting motor starts to rotate, and the torque is transmitted to the reducer through the coupling, and then the reel is driven to rotate. At this time, under the action of the spring force, the pull rod pulls the rope pressing sleeve to press the wire rope tightly. On the reel, because the rope pressing sleeve is equipped with multiple cams, with the rotation of the reel, the steel wire rope is regularly wound on the reel under the control of these cams.
  • When the first layer is fully wound, the steel wire rope is subjected to the resistance of the rope baffle and the pressure of the rope pressing sleeve, and starts to wind the next layer in reverse. In this way, the steel wire rope realizes multi-layer regular winding under the action of the rope pressing device. At this time, the wire rope will not be squeezed between the retaining ring and the adjacent rope loop, so that the wire rope is not susceptible to squeezing friction and wear.
  • The local wear of the wire rope is reduced, and the safety of use is improved. Due to the regular arrangement of the wire ropes, the retaining rings at both ends will not be squeezed, which can reduce the wear of the retaining rings.
